宗教和鴉片

今天，想起一個堂弟，聯想到馬克思將宗教比作鴉片。這真是個意義豐富的比喻，用在我堂弟身上，可以說明宗教雖然對全人類來說壞處遠多於好處，但有些人的確需要它。

I think that the FHS is a good attempt,and any standard like that certainly has to say something about whereprograms like databases and web servers should put their data filesby default. But at the same time it is stupid, and you do not want tofollow it in serious production; instead you really do want to relocatethe data directories of various programs to different places, even inthe face of things like SELinux.

(Of course I argue that the solution is to turn SELinux off .)

Mac App Store - Real Reason for It?

This might just be too crazy to be true, but I just thought, after reading that some of the bestselling games for the Mac were added to the Mac App Store, if there might be an ulterior motive to the Mac App Store...

Besides adding some revenue to Apple's bottom line, offering a convenient means to Mac users discovering and purchasing new software, and making the Mac more in-line with the iOS device philosophy, what if Steve walked into an Apple retail store one day last year
