On (not) logging calculated statistics
The more I look at the statistics logged by various systems andprograms, the more I've come to a conclusion: logging calculated statsas well as the raw stats is almost always a waste of time. Log analysisprograms can just as well change units, compute (nominal) averageper time interval, and so on, and in the mean time logging both justclutters up my logs (and sometimes subtracts clarity, often when it isnot obvious that it is a calculated stat instead of a real one)

早兩天寫的那篇〈妙計〉，在Google Reader裏竟有十七個人liked，破了紀錄。其實那條妙計我是在 John Allen Paulos 的 Innumeracy: Mathematical Illiteracy and Its Consequences 裏看到的。這不算是一本數學書，因為它沒有教你很多的數學，而只是用大量有趣的例子說明一些基本的數學概念，
Mamiya 1000DTL+zeiss 35 2.4
總算有機會拿部MAMIYA 1000DTL上街拍照，買了很久，因為是M42 MOUNT，那時對135 FILM又不太懂，就沒怎用。
現在，配上新到手的ZEISS 35 2.4表演一下，人說這支蔡頭是M42年代，最好的幾支之一，那真的要好好見識見識。
