Another Reason why Modern Architecture in Catholic Churches is Horrible
Billed by Laughing Squid (a SF-area blog) as humorous, I simply think this is sad:
God forbid we build beautiful buildings with architectural features like— gasp —crosses, domes, and straight-edged roofs, which don't have any potential for the kind of ridiculousness seen above.

The latest Solaris licensing and support rumbles
You know, I would really like it if my crazy pessimistic predictionsfor Solaris would stop coming true ( cf ). The latest news in the Solaris communityis Oracle has apparently started telling people about the newSolaris licensing model (note that I haven't seen confirmation of this yet). Boiled down,it appears to be:
- you can only run Solaris on Sun hardware (either directly on the hardwareor virtualized through your choice of virtualization system); Solarislicenses are attached to the hardware and are not available
