從 1958 年到 1973 年，美國著名指揮家伯恩斯坦（Leonard Bernstein）和紐約愛樂（New York Philharmonic）演出了五十多場「青少年音樂會」（Young People’s Concerts），觀眾大部份是小童和青少年，他們在音樂會裏除了欣賞到一些古典樂曲的演奏，還可聽到
