A photo I played with to create a faux tilt-shift effect (basically, blurring the foreground and background of the photo to create the illusion that the captured image is of a small, make-believe set):

The 30 second elevator pitch on HTML 4.01 (vs XHTML)
Every so often I run into someone who has drunk the XHTML koolaid. Fora long time I didn't really know what to say to them about it; whileI have strong opinions about this, my usual discussion of this isfairly long and somewhat tedious, and thus not quite the thing to dropinto conversation to convince people. What I needed was not a longreasoned argument against XHTML (complete with a careful inventory of its practical problems ) and in favour of, say, HTML 4.01
Monopoly Game Board Design (Illustrator/Vector Artwork)
While I was attending Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, a few brother seminarians and I had a long run of Monopoly tournaments, and we became quite adept at the game. Of course, my winning strategy was to always give up any and all properties to get Boardwalk and Park Place, buy a hotel, and hope someone hit the hotel before I went bankrupt...

These images speak for themselves, but I will offer a few asides to help explain why I was saddened after visiting the Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago a few months ago.

Druplicon - Stark (image for theme)
Below is the full-size image mockup I made for webchick to highlight the awesomeness of Drupal's (relatively) new stark theme, as seen in Drupal 7. You can download Stark for Drupal 6 as well, but it will be a nice way to quickly expose the underpinnings of Drupal's core HTML output.
