Reddit versus Digg: a little detail that matters

Since reddit.com and digg.com started showing up on the geek radar,I've been checking them out. Since both are about the same thing,roughly a 'just the links' version of Slashdot 's 'news for nerds' approach, Iexpected to like them about equally, or like digg.com more, sinceit has link summaries (which are often the most useful bit of Slashdotfor me).

To my surprise, I've been barely visiting digg.com , but

So much for my nice uptime . As I wasbrowsing along in Firefox, the X server crashed. (The crash was forthe usual reason: trying to display some characters in some fontsgives the X server a signal 11 heartburn. Ever once in a while, I'llstumble over a web page that nails just the right combination.)

世貿的遊行仍然非常快樂。這次我在人民戰車隊裡，（唔覺意又黐到大長毛搏上鏡！），前面是持木屐的韓農，後面是（缺席的）中國農民橫額，再後面就是鼓隊。長毛固然比較有趣，但與韓農相比，還是相形見絀
