CachyOS is out with its latest media refresh of the year. Beyond the usual desktop improvements for the performance-optimized CachyOS, they continue working toward the upcoming CachyOS Server Edition .

For preparing in advance of the CachyOS Server Edition release, the August 2026 media refresh has made a number of fixes and improvements to its command-line (CLI) installer. The graphical CachyOS installer and CachyOS welcome screen have also seen some improvements on the desktop side.
