Ben Shelton has repeated as men’s singles champion at the National Bank Open.
The tournament’s fifth from the United States seed surged past fellow countryman Brandon Nakashima 6-3, 7-6 (4) in a dominant display on centre court at IGA Stadium.
Shelton earned his second career ATP Masters 1000 title after winning last year’s event in Toronto, moving up to sixth in the tour’s rankings.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in San Francisco say they’ve arrested a Hamilton man who has been on the run since 1991.
Charles Peter Billone has been wanted for more than 30 years on child sexual abuse charges in Canada.
Billone allegedly failed to re-attend court after being released on a recognizance and Hamilton police have been looking for him since.
