If the chains haven’t vanished entirely, most of their stores have, and the last few are disappearing one by one. But somehow, not Sunrise Records. In recent years, the chain has been expanding across Canada, buying up Canadian HMV outlets and now boasts more than 80 stores and hundreds of employees.

Police investigate suspicious package at Canada Post facility in Leslieville
Toronto police have given the all-clear after after a suspicious package was found at a Canada Post facility in Leslieville.
Police were called to the area of Eastern Avenue and Woodfield Road, near Lower Coxwell Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard East, just before 4 a.m. on Friday.
The police’s Explosive Disposal Unit was also on scene.
Police did not say what the package was but have since cleared the area.
No injuries have been reported.
Kenneth Law reportedly facing upgraded 1st-degree murder charges in poison-selling case
Police now believe the GTA man accused of selling poison to people who went on to take their own lives had planned the deaths in advance.

LEIPZIG, Germany (AP) — Bundesliga soccer club Leipzig says it has released two players from its under-19 team after they made racist comments about other players.

BRUSSELS (AP) — NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg expressed optimism on Friday that Sweden could be ready to join the military organization by March, after receiving from holdouts Hungary and Turkey.
