Boeing 737 Max 9 jetliners are carrying passengers in the United States again for the first time since they were grounded after a panel blew out of the side of one of the planes.
Alaska Airlines resumed a limited number of flights with its Max 9s on Friday. United aims to follow suit on Sunday, but a spokeswoman said the airline might use them as spare planes Friday or Saturday.
Those are the only two U.S. airlines that operate this particular model of the Boeing 737.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences says the 2025 Juno Awards will be held in Vancouver.

Scores of North Carolina sea turtles have died after being stunned by frigid temperatures
Scores of sea turtles stunned by cold temperatures along the North Carolina coast have died, officials said.
The North Carolina State University Center for Marine Sciences and Technology took in 109 cold-stunned sea turtles from Cape Lookout on Sunday, but only 36 survived, the center said in a this week.

Halifax Police: Sexual assault investigation involving 2003 World Junior team ongoing
Halifax Regional Police say an investigation into a historic sexual assault allegation against members of Canada’s 2003 World Junior hockey team is ongoing.
