Toronto man arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting victim in ride-share car
A Toronto man is facing charges after allegedly committing an indecent act and sexually assaulting someone in a ride-share car in Scarborough over the weekend.
Toronto police say they were called to the area of Eglinton Avenue East and Midland Avenue around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
It is alleged that a victim got into a ride-share vehicle they ordered and a man was already inside the car.
While the car was moving the man allegedly sexually assaulted the victim before the victim got out of the car

New mud volcanoes discovered in Caribbean island of Trinidad after small eruption
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Experts are analyzing a new set of small mud volcanoes discovered in recent days in the eastern Caribbean island of Trinidad that have prompted authorities to prepare evacuation plans.
Officials said they plan to meet with residents in the eastern part of the island this week after a small mud volcano erupted Thursday in the Cascadoux Trace area. No injuries or damage were reported, although a handful of families were evacuated.

Two teens are facing several charges in connection to a carjacking and robbery investigation in North York.
Toronto police say five suspects approached a home in the Upper Canada Drive and Fairmeadow Avenue area, south of Highway 401, just before 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 9.
Investigators say a man was parking his car in the garage when he was approached by two of the suspects, one pointing a gun at him, and demanded he hand over his keys, wallet and jewelry.
