KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) — From Berlin to London and Limassol to Karachi, tens of thousands of people took to the streets Sunday to mark the Opposing demonstrations either demanded the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas or called for a cease-fire in Gaza.
In the southern Pakistani city of Karachi, protesters waved Palestinian flags or wore the keffiyeh, the traditional Palestinian scarf, to express their solidarity with Palestinians in a rally organized by the country’s largest religious political party, Jamaat-e-Islami.

MEREDITH, N.H. (AP) — A record high tide in Maine washed away three historic fishing shacks that had stood since the 1800s and formed the backdrop of countless photographs.
Michelle Erskine said she was visiting fisherman’s point at Willard Beach in South Portland on Saturday when she captured video footage of the last two wooden shacks sliding into the ocean.

Police search for suspect in east-end assault
Toronto police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an assault in Riverdale.
Investigators say just before 5 a.m. on November 3, 2023, the suspect and another man were involved in an argument in the area of Danforth and Euston Avenues.
Police say the suspect then assaulted the man, who suffered minor injuries in the attack.
The suspect is described as being six feet tall with a thin build, a short beard, and short braided hair. He was last seen wearing a gray

She was the last surviving main character of the beloved comedy from television’s golden age of the 1950s.

MALE, Maldives (AP) — Maldives’ President Mohamed Muizzu wants the Indian military personnel stationed in his archipelago nation , an official with his office said Sunday.
Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, a presidential aide, told reporters that Muizzu proposed the removal at a meeting with officials of the Indian Embassy in and other visiting Indian officials.
The move comes a day after Muizzu returned from China, India’s regional rival, and made comments critical of India.
