The “John Wick” action star announced he will expand the universe of his BRZRKR comic book series with “The Book of Elsewhere,” written with U.K. author China Miéville.

DETROIT (AP) — Factory workers at Tesla have been told to expect pay raises this year, a move that comes as the United Auto Workers union tries to organize the electric vehicle maker’s U.S. plants.

The UAW said Thursday that Tesla workers have told the union about company statements on the raises, which did not give details about the size of the increases.

MONTREAL — The RCMP say a Montreal man is facing a charge of inciting hatred in connection with antisemitic comments posted to social media.

Police say Houssem Hammami, 37, of Montreal will appear at the city’s courthouse at the end of the month.

The RCMP said today on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, that the suspect’s alleged social media comments were “violent.”

Several First Nations and environment advocates have criticized a decision by Canada’s nuclear regulator to greenlight a proposed nuclear waste site near the Ottawa River.

Following an environmental assessment, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has authorized construction of a waste facility on the site of the Crown-owned Chalk River Laboratories, which tests nuclear technology in Deep River, Ont., about 180 kilometres northwest of Ottawa.

The site sits within a kilometre of the Ottawa River, on the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg peoples.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — A federal inmate already serving a life sentence has been sentenced to a second life term after pleading guilty to fatally strangling a fellow inmate and stabbing a second inmate at a federal prison in Indiana.

BALTIMORE (AP) — The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has granted Maryland’s petition for the full court to consider the state’s handgun licensing law that was struck down in November by a three-judge panel, Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown said Thursday.

The ruled 2-1 that Maryland’s law requiring most citizens to obtain a license before acquiring a handgun was unconstitutional. Brown’s office requested the hearing for the full court’s review last month.
