Security guard stabbed in Yonge and Gerrard area
Police are searching for two suspects after a security guard was stabbed in the downtown on Sunday morning.
Police were called to the area of Yonge and Gerrard Streets for reports of a stabbing at around 11:20 a.m. When they arrived they found a man suffering from serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital.
Two suspects fled the scene eastbound on Gerrard Street East.

A dog shelter appeals for homes for its pups during a cold snap in Poland, and finds a warm welcome
WARSAW, Poland (AP) — With a deep freeze approaching, an animal shelter in Poland sent out an urgent appeal to people to adopt or at least temporarily shelter some of its dogs until the dangerous cold spell passes.
