Google working on RCS encryption between Android and iPhone

With RCS rolling out on the iPhone , Google is looking ahead on new features including cross-platform end-to-end encryption (E2EE) between Android and iPhone.

The governing GSMA body says the “next major milestone is for the RCS Universal Profile to add important user protections such as interoperable end-to-end encryption.”

“This will be the first deployment of standardized, interoperable messaging encryption between different computing platforms, addressing significant technical challenges such as key federation and cryptographically-enforced group membership.


Apple releases beta 1 for watchOS 11.1, visionOS 2.1, and tvOS 18.1

Following the release of iOS 18 to everyone this week, Apple is continuing iOS 18.1 beta testing. The company is now rolling out iOS 18.1 beta 4 to developer testers ahead of its expected release in October .

WSJ: Apple Card could switch from Goldman Sachs to Chase and change ‘key’ features

The ongoing saga of the future of the Apple Card continues today. According to a report from , Apple is in talks with JPMorgan Chase about taking over the Apple Card business from Goldman Sachs.

This comes as Goldman’s losses from its consumer business continue to mount, recently surpassing $6 billion .
