Fantastical can now trigger alarms for events and tasks

Apple introduced a new developer tool in iOS 26 called AlarmKit. The latest version of Fantastical for iPhone and iPad adopts it.

For users, this means tasks and events in can now have much more prominent alerts. It’s much harder to ignore a persistent alarm than a standard notification.

Here are some of the in today’s Fantastical iOS update:

  • Added support for triggering an alarm from tasks and events
  • Month view now separates months and highlights the selected one more prominently

In a new interview, Apple has shed more light on the engineering work behind AirPods Max, including the H2 chip and upgraded ANC.

Speaking to , Tim Millet, Apple VP of Platform Architecture, said the goal of AirPods Max 2 and the H2 chip is to make sure they’re “only limited by physics,” not by the chip architecture
