Apple says it maybe can’t trust Meta, after incompetent redaction

Lawyers representing Apple said the company may not be able to trust Meta , after the social network company leaked internal data shared with the company in confidence.

Amusingly, Meta didn’t share the data deliberately, but instead used a method of redacting a PDF which is well-known for being trivial to undo …

Meta has been taken to court by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for alleged antitrust violations. Specifically, the company is accused of trying to create an illegal monopoly in consumer social networking by buying up Facebook


Meta blocks Apple Intelligence on Facebook and its other iOS apps

Apple Intelligence was announced with iOS 18 and has been available since last October, when Apple released iOS 18.1 to the public. Although most apps provide support for Apple Intelligence features by default, developers can choose not to have them in their apps – and it seems that Meta has decided to do so.

American Airlines will soon start providing free Wi-Fi for all

American Airlines is the most popular airline in the US, and an especially great option for Apple fans thanks to free Apple Music and Apple TV+ offers. PSA: iOS 18.4.1 patches two major security vulnerabilities

Apple released iOS 18.4.1 , and in addition to CarPlay bug fixes, the update also patches two security vulnerabilities that Apple says were actively exploited in the wild. The security fixes are also included in macOS Sequoia 15.4.1, tvOS 18.4.1, and visionOS 2.4.1.
