During today's State of Play, independent UK developer Jagex announced that RuneScape: Dragonwilds will be released on Sony's PlayStation 5 console later this year and will also join the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription service tiers at launch. It'll be the first console installment in the fantasy franchise, largely known for the PC MMORPG RuneScape , which originally launched in 2001. Earlier this year, Jagex boasted of committing the largest investment yet into the IP .
