Magic Leap secures $350 million in additional funding, presses pause on layoffs

Researchers achieve record Internet speed of 44.2 Tbps using existing infrastructure

What just happened? Researchers from the universities of Monash, Swinburne and RMIT in Australia have successfully developed and tested an Internet connection based on a single optical chip that achieved a blistering fast transfer speed of 44.2 terabits per second (Tbps).

See a StarCraft Pro play the game with a monstrous keyboard

WTF?! It’s often the case that bigger is better, but there are some exceptions. Computer keyboards, for example, are fairly impractical when they’re the size of a small table, as one professional Starcraft player demonstrated.

IBM becomes latest tech giant to jettison employees during pandemic

The big picture: A North Carolina-based worker that lost his job along with his entire 12-person team said historical employment ratings, age and seniority did not seem to matter when IBM was handing out pink slips.
