Valorant, Riot Games' team-based FPS, enters closed beta next week

Something to look forward to: League of Legends developer Riot Games will be releasing a competitive multiplayer title with an eSports focus this summer, but it's not another MOBA: Valorant is a first-person shooter in the Overwatch/Counter-Strike: Global Offensive mold.

Originally known as Project A, Valorant is a free-to-play, tactical 5v5 FPS featuring eight playable agents, each with their own special abilities. One team tries to plant a bomb behind enemy lines, while the defending team

Graphic artist uses Dreams to create photorealistic worlds on the PS4

WTF?! Dreams is a creative platform for the PlayStation 4 that allows users to create whatever they want, limited only by their imagination and the PS4's hardware, which is apparently stout enough to render a photorealistic forest in real-time. I don't think anybody anticipated Dreams to facilitate the creation of something this authentic looking.

When Little Big Planet developer Media Molecule launched Dreams on PlayStation 4 in Early Access last year, it seemed pretty limited. The sandbox-like application allows users to create anything

In brief: Foxconn's business was hit long before the coronavirus hit China, but the first quarter of 2020 will reveal the true extent of the damage. After being delayed , Doom Eternal finally hit shelves to rave reviews , and has been flying off said shelves like “hotcakes.” Although it has only been out for less than two weeks, somebody

Bottom line: It’ll be tough for many to justify a $999 Chromebook, especially in the current climate, and only Google has tested the waters at this price point thus far with its original Chromebook Pixel line. Still, it’s good to have options and undoubtedly, some will be willing to make the investment. With any luck, some of the system’s premium

US officials are using location data from mobile ads to map the spread of Covid-19

The big picture: Governments worldwide are employing several strategies to track the spread of Covid-19, and the US too has started using anonymized location data from mobile ads to get a clear picture of the pandemic's evolution. The pretext of using surveillance to plan an appropriate response to the virus has also raised some questions about the persistence of these measures once the situation is under control.
