AMD’s unreleased Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 officially announced by ASRock

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 is supposed by ASRock motherboards

Did AMD forget to launch it?

What is even happening here? I was doing my usual bookmark check and decided to look for Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 updates, the dual 3D V-Cache SKU that AMD has never officially confirmed, even though everyone already knows it exists. AMD did not announce this SKU at CES, which was surprising. After nearly three months without any updates, it was starting

ViewDock G2 Mini-PC comes with vertical 4.5-inch display

Vertical display on Mini-PC

Honestly, it is hard to see the point of such a small display on a mini PC. The system does not appear to have its own dashboard, companion app, or any dedicated software that would make proper use of that screen. It simply works as another Windows display. That may be useful for debugging, or for quickly attaching a keyboard to a home server and checking what is going on, but beyond that it seems too small to be practical.

The new ViewDock G2

Qualcomm shuts door on Snapdragon X DSP headers open-sourcing, Linux support hopes fade

Qualcomm says no to open DSP headers for Snapdragon X

Qualcomm has closed GitHub issue for open-sourcing Snapdragon X DSP headers with the message that there are “ no plans to open source DSP headers as of now. ” On its own, this does not stop Linux from booting on Snapdragon X laptops, but it does close off one more route toward proper upstream-friendly support. Needless to say, the Linux community is not happy about this.

In May 2024, Qualcomm said Snapdragon X Elite would continue

PlayStation frame generation is coming, Mark Cerny tells Digital Foundry

© SONY/Digital Foundry

Mark Cerny has told Digital Foundry that an “equivalent frame generation library” based on Sony and AMD’s co-developed technology should arrive on “PlayStation platforms” at some point.

Lenovo confirms RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 12GB GDDR7 for several 2026 models

GeForce RTX 5070 12GB looks real

We return to the RTX 5070 rumor featuring 12GB memory. This model has not been announced by NVIDIA. It would likely require 3GB GDDR7 memory chips to reach 12GB, unless NVIDIA is changing the memory bus in some way. Since the company does not appear to be adding a new class such as SUPER or Ti, it would almost certainly use similar core and bus specs to the existing 8GB model.

So what
