“Highlight Reels” NPU also coming to next-gen Xbox hardware

Windows Central reports that Microsoft staff are internally testing a new feature called Highlight Reels on the ROG Xbox Ally X. The report says testers can self-host a special build to try the feature ahead of a broader rollout.

The feature is described as an automatic way to capture “memorable gaming moments” without extra downloads and without leaving gameplay. The report frames it as NPU-dependent, which is why it currently targets the Ally X hardware first.
