AMD has posted a new Linux kernel patch series that adds support for a Low Power CPU core type. The change applies to AMD heterogeneous processors and expands the existing x86 topology code.

Linux already supports Performance and Efficiency core classifications. AMD’s patch adds a third type, low-power, which can be reported separately instead of being shown as unknown.

Dbrand has cancelled its Steam Machine Companion Cube enclosure and is refunding all orders. The company confirmed that the Portal-themed accessory was made without permission from Valve.

The product was removed from dbrand’s website, YouTube and social media channels last week. In a public statement, Dbrand said the reason was simple: it did not have a license to use Valve’s Companion Cube intellectual property.
