A Redditor has managed to create one of the more confusing PC repair cases of the week. Their desk reportedly collapsed while he was sleeping, sending melted candle wax directly into a desktop PC. The CPU cooler and GPU were among the most affected components.

The user said he was afraid to power the system on, while their father apparently suggested using it as normal. Well, that’s not the best idea.

ASUS ROG Equalizer cable reportedly burns despite safety-focused 12V-2×6 design

ASUS introduced the ROG Equalizer as a safer 12V-2×6 PCIe power cable for high-power graphics cards. The cable was designed to reduce uneven current distribution across the connector and lower GPU power connector temperatures under heavy load.

Now a report from Chiphell, later shared by UNIKO’s Hardware, shows what appears to be a burned ROG Equalizer connector.

AMD’s Lemonade SDK has received a new update with support for NVIDIA CUDA GPUs. This is an interesting change for a local AI project backed by AMD, since Lemonade was primarily built around Ryzen AI NPUs, Radeon GPUs and x86 CPUs.

Lemonade is a local AI server that offers API compatibility with OpenAI, Anthropic and Ollama. According to AMD, it is designed to automatically configure optimized CPU, GPU and NPU backends for text, image and audio
