Apple 3D prints titanium chassis for Apple Watch — additive manufacturing cuts raw material usage in half

Apple has adopted additive manufacturing (or 3D printing) for making chassis for Apple Watches as well as USB-C port receptacles for the ultra-thin iPhone Air. The company is printing these components using titanium powder obtained from recycling, thus greatly reducing usage of materials while achieving its products' signature great looks and structural strength. This is the first time that Apple has applied additive manufacturing for a mass-market device.

AMD announces FSR Redstone premiere on December 10 — confirms technology will be limited to the RX 9000 series

Almost a year after its announcement at Computex 2025 and days after its initial debut in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 , AMD's SVP and GM, Jack Huynh, announced on X that the company will have its first major event for FSR Redstone on December 10th. Cloudflare's CTO apologizes after error takes huge chunk of the internet offline — 'we failed our customers and the broader internet'

Cloudflare has confirmed that a bug in one of its core services caused a major outage on Tuesday, taking large portions of the internet offline and affecting traffic to services including X, ChatGPT, and, ironically, Downdetector. The company’s CTO, Dane Knecht, posted a public apology shortly after services were restored, calling the incident "unacceptable" and attributing the disruption to a routine configuration change that triggered a crash in its bot mitigation layer.

Taiwanese authorities have opened a national- security -related inquiry involving a former TSMC R&D executive who may have passed the company's trade secrets to a foreign company. The person in question is Wei-Jen Lo, according to a spokesperson for the High Prosecutors Office, who spoke to Nikkei Asia . Yet, for now the investigation is focused on finding out whether there was an intentional or unlawful transfer of TSMC's trade secrets to a foreign entity.
