It's been a while since we've seen any leaks regarding Arcturus , AMD's rumored upcoming professional accelerator. Respected hardware leaker @KOMACHI_ENSAKA has shared what appears to be the potential specifications for the Radeon Instinct MI100, which is reportedly based on the Arcturus silicon.

Although it's not confirmed, Arcturus is believed to be a derivative of AMD's Vega microarchitecture. Like the other Radeon Instinct accelerators, Arcturus is likely coming out


Raspbian Buster Gets New Features in Big Update

The latest Raspbian release, Buster, received a big update this week. A recent blog post on the official Raspberry Pi website lists all of the new changes and details about the new features.

Intel Explains Why It Favored Habana over Nervana

Intel has provided Forbes with some additional information about its decision to cease Nervana development in favor of Habana. According to statements by an Intel executive, Intel made the decision based on “customer input.”

Naveen Rao, general manager of Intel’s AI Platforms Groups, told Forbes that performance was not the driving factor behind the change. While Intel will cease development of the Nervana products, it will bring “future enhancements” from the architecture NNP architecture into Habana.

Gigabyte Driver Used to Disable Antivirus Software in RobbinHood Ransomware Scheme

According to research by Sophos, a leading software security firm, a ransomware called "RobbinHood" has been making use of legitimate, but vulnerable, Gigabyte drivers to infect computer systems and take them over.

The attack works on Windows 7 and newer operating systems (OSes). Gigabyte had previously dismissed the claims that its driver was vulnerable to the flaw that the ransomware group is now exploiting, according to Sophos.
