Nvidia's rumored N1X SoC has surfaced on Geekbench , rivaling the best mobile offerings from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm, via Olrak at X. The alleged 20-core chip has hit over 3,000 single-core points on Geekbench, with multi-core performance nearing AMD's leading Strix Halo line. That being said, it's prudent that we approach this leak with caution, given that Nvidia has yet to confirm this chip officially.

Apple's macOS 26 Tahoe will be the last major release to support Intel-based Macs. The news was delivered at a virtual Platform State of the Union at WWDC25.

"Apple Silicon enables us all to achieve things that were previously unimaginable, and it's time to put all of our focus and innovation there," Matthew Firlik, senior director of developer relations, said on the video.

Apple will end support for Intel Macs next year, macOS 27 will require Apple Silicon

During the Platforms State of the Union at WWDC, Apple just announced that macOS 26 Tahoe will be the last release of macOS that supports Intel. That means from next year, major new versions of Apple’s desktop operating system will only run on Apple Silicon Macs (that is, 2020 M1 models and newer).

Of course, Intel Macs will continue to get critical security updates for some time thereafter. But users should not expect to be able to update to get new features from macOS
