Modern APUs and GPUs support decoding of this latest royalty-free format, while streaming and recording services are beginning to implement AV1 support for their platforms. When Apple moved to its own silicon, its Mac computers lost a feature called Boot Camp, which let people dual boot between macOS and other operating systems, like Windows. Now, Microsoft is officially sanctioning running Windows 11 on Macs with M1 and M2 processors.
