Apple appears to have registered three new Mac computers with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), which it typically does ahead of the launch/release of products. The newly listed A2681 device is described as a portable computer. Meanwhile, there are two (non-portable) computers codenamed the A2615 and A2686 on the way. Intel has already released dozens of 12th Generation Core 'Alder Lake' processors for desktops, laptops, and ultra-thin laptops. But there are other categories of PCs that are yet to be addressed by the new family: ultra-low-power and ultra-low-cost computers. Intel is prepping its Alder-Lake N system-on-chips that only feature small energy-efficient Gracemont cores for these PCs, but these SoCs may actually be pretty serious performers.
