Cyberpunk 2077 is now runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 phone via PC emulation

Cyberpunk 2077 PC emulation on Android shown on Red Magic 11 Pro, 720p results range from high 20s to 50 FPS

ETA Prime published a new demo showing Cyberpunk 2077 running on an Android phone through PC emulation layers, not cloud streaming. The test uses GameSir GameHub as the front end and a Snapdragon-based gaming phone, aiming to run the Windows PC build on Arm hardware. This is the same software that was recently announced for MacOS .

In the video, ETA Prime starts with 720p output, the in-game low preset, and FSR 2.1 set to Balanced. With frame generation disabled, the on-screen counter generally sits around 30 FPS, with heavier scenes dropping into the high 20s.

He then enables FSR frame generation and re-tests at the same 720p plus FSR Balanced settings. With frame generation on, performance climbs into the high 40s, and he shows peaks around 50 FPS, while also calling out visible artifacts like ghosting.

ETA Prime also tries the game’s Steam Deck preset, which raises some settings while keeping FSR on Balanced. With frame generation off, he reports results in the mid-20 FPS range, then returns to the mid-40s after re-enabling frame generation.

HardwareUnion, who say they are part of drivers and mod teams, claim to be able to reach even higher performance with proper settings. They claim their own testing includes a Steam Deck preset run with frame generation turned off, where they saw a 50.34 FPS average in the benchmark.

Still, ETA’s demo suggests a current flagship phone can emulate a demanding PC game like Cyberpunk 2077 at playable settings. Results like this depend heavily on compatibility layers and low-level work from emulator and driver teams, including Valve’s Proton, which is central to the Steam Deck’s Windows game support.
