Colorful RTX 5070 Mini-ITX card tested, runs cooler than Founders Edition but with higher noise levels

Colorful iGame GeForce RTX 5070 Mini OC review highlights 18 cm SFF design, higher noise, and a steep price

You cannot buy this card in every region. That is especially true if you want to avoid costly international shipping or proxy services. TechPowerUp reviewed the Colorful iGame GeForce RTX 5070 Mini OC, a short-length GeForce RTX 5070 designed for small form factor builds. The card measures 180 x 123 x 39.8 mm and uses a two-slot cooler. Availability and pricing appear to be centered on China.

The iGame 5070 ships with 6,144 CUDA cores, 12 GB of GDDR7 on a 192-bit bus at 28 Gbps, a 250 W TDP, and a 16-pin power connector. The card is a Mini-ITX design, featuring a single fan. There are over 10 custom 5070 models on the market, and Colorful is the only brand that offers a single-fan design. You can find all models in our database .

In TechPowerUp’s review, Colorful’s GeForce RTX 5070 Mini OC stands out for cooler limits rather than performance. The site’s noise-normalized “Cooler Performance” chart (35 dBA at 50 cm, 250 W heat load) lists the card at 81.1 °C GPU temperature.

That result is about 18 °C higher than the warmest of the other RTX 5070 partner cards shown in the same chart, which tops out at 63.2 °C (the Zotac RTX 5070 Solid). Other models in the comparison include ASUS, MSI, Palit, and Galax, all clustered in the mid-50s to low-60s at the same 35 dBA and 250 W target. However cooler performance test is not the same thing as noise comparison (run at stock settings).

In the review’s temperature and noise table, the card also idles at 49 °C with fan stop, which is roughly 9 to 12 °C higher than most of the other RTX 5070 entries shown (typically 37 to 42 °C). Under gaming load it posts 74 °C GPU and 70 °C memory, but it does so with a reported 3,213 RPM fan speed, which is far higher than the other partner cards listed in that table and also above the Founders Edition entry; however, technically speaking, the card is 8°C colder than NVIDIA’s official design.

Interesting card, but it highlights the limits of a single-fan design. Anyone choosing it should expect a trade-off where the cooler can run cooler than some models, mainly NVIDIA’s Founders Edition, but at higher noise levels. Thermals and acoustics are not the only drawbacks. The card is listed at over $720 in China right now, and it is nearly impossible to buy elsewhere.
