High-end GPUs stolen

A masked man broke into a computer parts shop in Pyeongtaek, South Korea, early on Feb. 22. Police say he forced his way in by smashing the glass door with a tool, then went straight for the high-end graphics cards and got out fast.
Initial reports put the loss at about 16 million won, roughly $11,100 worth of GPUs. Some coverage described the haul as “multiple” cards, while one broadcast report said two GPUs but attached the same total value. CCTV stills show him leaving with retail GPU boxes stacked in his arms, like he was speed-running a checkout line that did not exist.

A later police update revised the total upward. Investigators said the suspect took three boxes of GPUs worth about 20 million won, around $13,900, before fleeing. Honestly, I know GPU prices are crazy, but if three cards cost $14, then he either stole RTX 6000 cards or it was MSI LIGHTNING.
Police say they arrested a man in his 40s about a day later at a motel in Jincheon, North Chungcheong Province. Investigators also said some of the stolen hardware had already been sold, and they are tracking where the GPUs ended up.
It looks like thieves move fast these days, but at today’s GPU prices, you could argue who the real thieves are if three gaming cards cost $14k.
