Ryzen AI 400 “Gorgon Point” expands beyond laptops
© AMD AMD has already tied Ryzen AI 400 to desktops, not just laptops. In its AMD CES 2026 announcement, the company said systems powered by Ryzen AI 400 will ship in Q1 2026 for notebooks, with desktops featuring Ryzen AI 400 introduced later in Q2 2026 .
We discovered that AMD has already uploaded a render of Ryzen AI 400, confirming it is specifically for the PRO market. The file appears in AMD partner materials. The original file is dated May last year, but it was digitized only a few days ago. This suggests that materials are being prepared for an announcement, and we may be close to a Ryzen AI 400 launch for the AM5 socket.
© AMD “Gorgon Point” is a refresh layer over existing mobile APU designs covering refreshes of both Strix Point and Krackan Point class parts, rather than a single new die. What this means is that we still don’t know if Gorgon for desktops will feature both Strix and Krackan, or just one of the silicon chips.

So perhaps we will see some leaks soon, and judging by the materials update, AMD is readying to announce the series pretty soon. Hopefully it’s not just the PRO series and AMD will finally bring something with Radeon 890M iGPU to desktops.
