More Geralts is better than one

Witcher Online, a community-made multiplayer mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC, has received a new client update. Nexus Mods now lists the project at version 1.11, with the updated client uploaded on February 6, 2026.
The mod’s design focus is on letting players see each other in the world and travel together. It supports shared sessions where players can move, fight, and explore at the same time, but it does not attempt full co-op progression. The mod page states that co-op, world, and NPC sync is not implemented, and that only player locations are synced.

That limitation affects how “playing together” works in practice. Players can run quests in parallel, but quest state, NPCs, and the world state remain per-player. The mod’s guidance is to stay in sync manually by entering cutscenes together, picking the same dialogue choices, and completing objectives at the same time.
Other players cannot help you fight monsters, solve puzzles, or complete objectives. Because of this, you each must try to complete objectives at the same time as each other throughout the storyline.

On the update itself, third-party reporting says the 1.11 client restores the ability to teleport to other players via the world map, following a prior update aimed at performance and stability. Nexus Mods does not publish detailed patch notes on the main listing, but it does confirm the 1.11 client upload date and version.
To use Witcher Online, the mod page lists a copy of The Witcher 3 Next-Gen on Steam or GOG, with version 4.04+ required. The listing also shows Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine as DLC requirements.
