Death Stranding needs RTX 4080 or RX 9070 XT for very high preset
But minimum requirements look good.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach lands on PC on March 19, with Nixxes publishing full system requirements and a preset stack that scales from 1080p 30 FPS to 4K 60 FPS. The studio also confirmed a Portable preset aimed at handheld PCs, plus support for ultrawide aspect ratios and multiple upscaling options.
The requirements look modest for a 2026 AAA release. Minimum targets a GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB, while the 1440p 60 FPS “High” target calls for an RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800. Even the 4K 60 FPS “Very High” tier tops out at an RTX 4080 or Radeon RX 9070 XT, with 16GB of system memory listed across all tiers.

That points to a focus on optimization rather than brute-force hardware scaling. The first Death Stranding already had a reputation for running well across a wide range of GPUs on PC, and Death Stranding 2 continues on the same Decima engine foundation, now with a dedicated Portable preset and a long list of performance tools.

On the tech side, the PC version launches with NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XeSS 2, i ncluding upscaling and frame generation options. Nixxes also added “Pico” as an upscaler option, described as a Decima feature developed by Guerrilla, and used for the PS5 version of the game.
Ultrawide support is built in. Nixxes says cutscenes are authored for 21:9, gameplay can extend to 32:9, and 16:9 users can enable widescreen aspect ratios via Display Settings to widen the field of view. Storage is listed as 150GB on an SSD, with Windows 10/11 Version 1909 or newer.
