February 2026 ROG Xbox Ally patch updates Xbox app UI and Armoury Crate profiles

Microsoft and ASUS have published a new February 2026 update for the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. The release bundles changes for the Xbox app on PC, Game Bar, and ASUS Armoury Crate plus Command Center.
On the Xbox app on PC and Game Bar side, the update adds console-style navigation sounds when using a gamepad. Game Bar also now shows a numerical battery percentage alongside the battery icon. Microsoft also updated the Library UI with new filters and sorting options, including Handheld Verified status and Performance Fit.
Game Bar’s Audio widget also gets layout and navigation tweaks aimed at controller use. These changes target usability rather than feature expansion, with Microsoft calling out controller-friendly interaction as a focus in this build.

ASUS Armoury Crate SE and Command Center updates focus on input mapping and handheld-specific UI behavior. Users can now remap the Gaming Copilot and Push-to-Talk keys from the Action section of the key mapping menu. ASUS also added support for mapping Enter and Exit of the Full Screen Experience to a button, including per-game profiles.
For power behavior, ASUS says it improved Extreme Standby Mode logic for more accurate Modern Standby operation. This specific change requires ROG Xbox Ally BIOS v317 or later. The update also switches Default Game Profiles (preview) to Balanced Windows Power Mode to target better battery life, fixes an issue where the UI could extend beyond the screen at 900p, and addresses a stability problem tied to Xbox 360 controller emulation.
