Micron GDDR7 memory appears on GeForce RTX 50 card for the first time
© QuasarZone A GeForce RTX 50 series graphics card has been photographed with Micron-branded GDDR7 memory packages. The images were shared on Quasar Zone, marking the first public sighting of Micron GDDR7 on an RTX 50 board, GALAX RTX 5060 model to be specific.
The chip marking shown in the photos is consistent with Micron’s MT68A512M32DF family used for GDDR7. Micron’s own GDDR7 part catalog lists MT68A512M32DF-28:A as a 16Gb (2GB) GDDR7 device rated at 28GT/s.
RTX 50 cards have so far been associated primarily with Samsung and SK hynix GDDR7 in the wild, based on board photos and teardown reports. A third supplier can help board partners balance availability across production batches, even when the memory speed grade stays the same.
© QuasarZone We previously reported that Micron was expected to join the RTX 50 supply chain with 28Gbps and 32Gbps GDDR7 options, but without confirmation of which specific cards would ship first. This new photo is the first time Micron-labeled GDDR7 has been tied to an RTX 50 card directly.
The photos do not confirm whether Micron chips will be limited to specific models, regions, or board revisions. For now, they only show that at least one RTX 50 board exists in the channel with Micron GDDR7 populated.
