Steam Deck OLED price increases
KOMODO has announced a Steam Deck OLED price increase for Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan . The company cites higher logistics costs since Steam Deck launched, plus increased exchange-rate volatility. The new pricing takes effect on March 6 . Hong Kong is not changing, KOMODO says the same factors have had less impact there.
In Japan, the 512GB model rises from JPY 84,800 to JPY 99,800, and the 1TB model rises from JPY 99,800 to JPY 114,800. That is a JPY 15,000 increase for each SKU, or about 17.7% for 512GB and 15.0% for 1TB.
© KOMODO In South Korea, the 512GB model goes from KRW 839,000 to KRW 898,000, and the 1TB model goes from KRW 989,000 to KRW 1,048,000. That is KRW 59,000 more for each SKU, or about 7.0% for 512GB and 6.0% for 1TB.
In Taiwan, the 512GB model increases from TWD 18,880 to TWD 18,980, and the 1TB model increases from TWD 21,980 to TWD 22,480. That is about 0.5% and 2.3% increase.
Across all listed SKUs and regions, the average increase is roughly 8.1%.
