Microsoft hints at a “V” Game Pass drop, Cyberpunk 2077 may be next

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass social account has posted another “leaked email” teaser featuring the fictional Melissa McGamepass, with the caption “Something v cool is coming soon.” The image suggests a bold “V” in the message, and that this has triggered speculation around Cyberpunk 2077, where “V” is the player character’s name.
No announcement text in the teaser confirms the game, the date, or the specific Game Pass catalog. That leaves it unclear whether the hint is for Xbox console Game Pass, PC Game Pass, or an Ultimate release that covers multiple platforms.

Cyberpunk 2077 launched on December 10, 2020, and CD Projekt Red has kept it relevant with major reworks like Update 2.0, which overhauled multiple core systems, plus continued patch support since then.
From a GPU enthusiasts, Cyberpunk 2077 is still one of the go-to titles for heavy ray tracing workloads, including its path tracing “Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode.” NVIDIA’s Overdrive coverage also called out how demanding the mode is, and CD Projekt Red’s recent patches continue to add modern upscaling support like AMD FSR 3.1 Frame Generation and Intel XeSS 2.0.
