AceMagic Retro X5 costs $1049 at launch
© ACEMAGIC AceMagic has launched its Retro X5 mini PC globally. The system is now available via Amazon, alongside a time-limited launch promo that runs through March 31, 2026. The Retro X5 uses a Nintendo Entertainment System-style chassis, with a single finish shown in AceMagic marketing images. The platform is built around AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU.
Retro X5 is equipped with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 which is configured with 4 Zen 5 cores and 8 Zen 5c cores for a 12-core, 24-thread layout. The integrated Radeon 890M uses 16 RDNA 3.5 compute units.

AceMagic pairs the APU with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD in the listed configuration. AceMagic’s own product pages also list DDR5-5600, upgrade support up to 128GB, and two M.2 2280 slots with up to 4TB storage capacity.
Despite the ‘retro’ design, the connectivity is up to date to modern standards. This means Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual 2.5GbE. Video outputs include DisplayPort 2.0, HDMI 2.1, and USB4. AceMagic’s spec sheet also lists multiple USB Type-A ports plus two Type-C ports, with one Type-C confirmed as USB4.
