NVIDIA reaches 94% AIB GPU market share in Q4 2025, Jon Peddie data shows
NVIDIA held 94% of the desktop add-in-board GPU market in Q4 2025, according to the latest Jon Peddie Research data. The firm said NVIDIA gained 1.6 percentage points quarter over quarter, while AMD lost 1.6 points and Intel remained flat. AMD ended the quarter at 5% and Intel at 1%.

JPR said total AIB shipments fell 4.4% from the previous quarter to 11.48 million units, even though shipments were still up 36% year over year. The firm linked the quarter-over-quarter decline to rising prices tied to memory costs and tariffs. JPR also said the desktop AIB attach rate fell to 55%, down 12.3% from the prior quarter, while desktop PC CPU shipments rose to 21.0 million units.
NVIDIA expanded share in a quarter where the overall board market shrank, which suggests its position strengthened even as pricing pressure increased across the segment. JPR was direct about the cause, saying the AIB market is being squeezed by higher memory prices and tariff pressure, and that unstable conditions could push the PC and AIB market down by almost 10% in 2026.

For AMD and Intel, the Q4 numbers show how hard it is to gain ground in desktop graphics when supply and pricing remain tight. JPR’s forecast is also not encouraging for the broader market, with the firm projecting a negative 5.9% compound annual growth rate for AIBs through the forecast period and an installed base of 172 million units by the end of that window.
