TUXEDO launches InfinityBook Max 16 AMD with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and GeForce RTX 5070
TUXEDO has introduced the AMD version of its InfinityBook Max 16, a 16-inch Linux laptop that follows the Intel model announced earlier this year. The new variant keeps the same thin all-aluminum design and starts with Ryzen AI 7 350, while the top option is Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 paired with GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 Laptop graphics. TUXEDO lists the system at just over 2 kg, which puts it closer to a mobile workstation than a typical thick gaming notebook.
The main change is the move to AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 series. TUXEDO says buyers can choose Ryzen AI 7 350, Ryzen AI 9 365, or Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, with the latter offering 12 CPU cores and up to 80 TOPS of local AI performance. On the graphics side, the company offers RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs, with up to 115 W GPU power according to the product listing. TUXEDO also claims the RTX 5070 model is around 15% faster than the RTX 5060 version.

The rest of the platform is aimed at users who want one system for work and gaming. The laptop uses a 16-inch, 16:10 panel with 2560 x 1600 resolution, 300 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. It also supports up to 128 GB DDR5-5600 memory and up to 8 TB of SSD storage across two M.2 slots, one PCIe 5.0 and one PCIe 4.0. Port selection includes USB4, a second USB-C, three USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort, and support for up to four external displays.
Battery size is 99 Wh , which is the largest capacity allowed for airline travel, and TUXEDO rates the system for up to 7 hours of Wi-Fi video streaming. USB-C charging is supported at up to 140 W , while full performance relies on a 240 W GaN power adapter. TUXEDO says the low-profile cooling system is 8 mm thick and can handle up to 160 W of combined CPU and GPU power, which matters for a chassis this slim.

The InfinityBook Max 16 AMD is available for pre-order now, with shipping scheduled for the end of March. The base configuration starts at €1749 (German VAT), and includes a Ryzen AI 7 350, GeForce RTX 5060, 16 GB DDR5, a 1 TB SSD, and TUXEDO OS. The HX 370 & RTX 5070 combo bumps the price to €2199 . Like other TUXEDO systems, it ships with Linux support out of the box, with TUXEDO OS and Ubuntu 24.04 officially supported, while Windows 11 is also offered as an option.
