Brazil’s Teclab bypasses RTX 5070 Ti memory lock, pushes GDDR7 past 36 Gbps for the first time

Brazilian overclockers claim RTX 5070 Ti memory lock bypass at 36 Gbps+

Teclab says it has bypassed NVIDIA’s memory clock limit on GeForce RTX 50 series cards and pushed a GALAX GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 1-Click OC beyond 36 Gbps effective memory speed . The Brazilian overclocking team showed the result in Unigine Superposition, where the card posted a higher score even while monitoring tools still reported lower clocks . NVIDIA lists the RTX 5070 Ti with 16GB GDDR7 on a 256-bit bus, and GALAX rates its 1-Click OC model at 28 Gbps.

According to Teclab, standard overclocking tools on RTX 50 cards stop at a +3000 memory offset, which limits how far GDDR7 can be pushed through normal software controls. The group says its new approach works below the usual software layer by changing the reference used for clock management, so the GPU still thinks it is running at a lower value while the real memory speed is higher. Teclab also said the test card had its power limit fully unlocked rather than shunt-modded, which is why software showed 0 W power draw during the run.

The benchmark progression shown in the demo went from 9,922 points with no frequency overclock and an unlocked power limit, to 11,722 points with a manual overclock of +500 on the core and +3000 on memory, and then to 11,993 points with the bypass active. Teclab said actual memory speed was above 18,000 MHz effective clock, or over 36 Gbps, even though monitoring software still displayed the usual 28 Gbps reference speed.

Not TecLab’s first rodeo

This is not the first Teclab memory mod tied to NVIDIA cards. As we reported in 2024, TecLab pushed a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER mod to 26 Gbps GDDR6X, and later covered Brazilian plans to use faster GDDR7 donor modules for RTX 50 series experiments. We also covered a separate Brazilian donor-board project that rebuilt a damaged RTX 5070 Ti on older PCBs, so this latest test fits into a longer line of Blackwell modding work.

For now, this remains a lab-only hardware modification, not something users can reproduce with MSI Afterburner or a BIOS flash. Teclab says it plans to take the same approach further with a higher-binned GALAX RTX 5070 Ti HOF, which should show whether the bypass scales with stronger silicon and more cooling headroom.
