Apple Macbook Neo competitor has 1TB storage on One Drive
An Amazon listing for an HP 15 laptop is drawing attention for advertising 1.1TB of storage, even though the system only includes 128GB of local SSD space . The remaining 1TB comes from OneDrive cloud storage bundled for one year through Microsoft 365.
A buyer scanning the title may only see the larger storage figure, while the actual local drive is much smaller. The cloud portion is tied to Microsoft 365, which Microsoft lists with 1TB of cloud storage as part of the subscription, so it is not the same as built-in laptop storage.

Similar offers have been appearing through third-party sellers, where bundled cloud storage is combined with the internal drive capacity to create a much larger top-line number. The listings aren’t exclusive to Amazon, one could also find HP laptops with similar ‘features’ on Newegg. However, it looks like the retailer took action and took some of these listings down by the time we covered this story.
For buyers who are not looking closely at the fine print, that can leave the wrong impression about how much space the laptop actually has out of the box.

This is also a reminder that third-party marketplace listings need closer attention. A bundled subscription can add value, but it should not be treated the same way as permanent onboard storage. It is also not permanent and will disappear once the subscription ends. If you see such listings make sure to report them to retail platforms, hopefully with enough reports, such practices will be banned in the future.
