NVIDIA’s DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation is now due on March 31

NVIDIA has now narrowed DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation to March 31, which would put the rollout just ahead of April. That fits NVIDIA’s earlier “spring” guidance, and it would move the feature forward from the April 2026 timing previously reported.
Dynamic Multi Frame Generation is the automatic version of Multi Frame Generation. Instead of staying on one fixed multiplier, NVIDIA says the system can shift the multiplier in real time based on scene load and the refresh rate of the display. The goal is to generate only the extra frames needed to hold smooth output at 120Hz, 144Hz, 240Hz, or higher.
The feature is part of DLSS 4.5 and is limited to GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. NVIDIA says DLSS 4.5 combines Dynamic Multi Frame Generation with an updated frame generation model and its second-generation transformer model for Super Resolution. In that setup, the company says the technology can generate up to five additional frames per traditionally rendered frame.

This means that 6X Multi Frame Generation will be released at the same time. NVIDIA introduced Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and the new 6X mode together at CES 2026, and as we previously reported, both features were grouped under the same rollout window.
Standard Multi Frame Generation uses a fixed multiplier, while Dynamic Multi Frame Generation adjusts the multiplier in real time based on workload and display refresh target. That should help GeForce RTX 50 GPUs avoid generating unnecessary extra frames in lighter scenes and increase output when load rises.
