AI Plus is a modular notebook concept with a separate liquid-cooled GPU dock

Hefei LCFC Information Technology has listed a new concept called AI Plus on the iF Design Award site, where it appears as a 2026 Product Design winner in the Computer category. The official description calls it a “modular AI notebook computer” built around a laptop and dock that can be used together or separately.

The renders show a single foldable display with no visible physical keyboard. In one setup, the lower half of the panel acts as a virtual keyboard and control surface. Other images show the screen standing on its own while a second module sits behind it or works separately.

With AI services rapidly advancing, single laptops can no longer keep up. Even with external devices, users lack powerful AI computing support. Current AI PCs feel trapped by hardware limits. We believe AI must “step out of the screen,” becoming a tangible, interactive “intelligent collaborator.” This led to AI Plus: it redefines personal computing, unleashing your limitless potential. We foresee diverse “multi-mode” uses where the Dock and laptop separate or combine, meeting all user needs.”

The separate dock is presented as a transparent performance module with visible liquid channels and a large cold plate. One render labels it as a “ Smart AI Performance Center with Helical Liquid-Assisted Cooling ,” but the concept material does not explain where the pump, reservoir, radiator, or main power input are located. The images also do not show a clear external PSU connection for that module.

Clearly, the renders show a concept, and perhaps not even one that exists in physical form. For starters, the graphics card is not even plugged in. Even if it were, it does not appear to be a modern GPU, since it uses 6+8-pin power connectors, a setup that most GPU vendors have already moved away from. The 6-pin connector is effectively no longer used on current high-end cards.

Still, I would probably put this on a shelf, but I cannot imagine doing anything productive on a virtual keyboard.
