Mario Day gets a fitting tribute with this custom Super Mario gaming PC
A custom Super Mario-themed PC build has been posted to the r/PcBuild subreddit, and it is getting a lot of attention for good reason, thankfully not from Nintendo lawyers. The builder turned a regular PC case into something that looks like a Mario level, complete with layered platforms, brick-style blocks, character figures, and large green pipes wrapped around the hardware.
It is a bit surprising that no company has partnered with Nintendo for a Mario-themed PC yet. Not even a graphics card maker has done it, while we have already seen Toy Story-themed builds and many anime-based systems.
For this build, Redditor Fun-Cry-6000 turned an actual gaming PC into a display piece. The fans, lighting, and cooling hardware are still visible, but they fit into the design instead of breaking it. Even the tubing and overall layout look like they were planned around the Mario theme from the start. Some users joked that this kills airflow, but if you can sacrifice 5°C for a Mario pipe inside the case, many probably would not mind.
No full hardware specs were shared, but it seems like the system is using a Colorful Ultra card. A lot of themed PCs rely on RGB lighting and a matching wallpaper to sell the concept. This one actually reshapes the whole interior into a Mario-style scene, with the hardware worked into the design instead of hidden behind it.
It is also worth noting that one of the front details includes a small typo, which oddly makes the build feel more handmade than overly polished. Maybe that was just part of the defense strategy against Nintendo lawyers. Also, that poor vented backplate on the GPU…
