ASUS announces 240Hz and 280Hz 27-inch ROG Strix OLED monitors
ASUS has announced three new 27-inch QHD OLED gaming monitors under its ROG Strix lineup, the XG27AQDMG Gen2, XG27ACDMS, and XG27AQDMES. All three target the same 2560 x 1440 class, but ASUS is splitting the range by panel type, refresh rate, brightness, and price. The company listed US MSRPs of $649 for the XG27AQDMG Gen2, $699 for the XG27ACDMS, and $599 for the XG27AQDMES.
The XG27AQDMG Gen2 uses a glossy WOLED panel, while the XG27ACDMS and XG27AQDMES use QD-OLED panels with an anti-reflective or semi-glossy finish. Refresh rates are rated at 240Hz on the XG27AQDMG Gen2 and XG27AQDMES, and 280Hz on the XG27ACDMS. ASUS also lists a 0.03 ms GTG response time across the full trio, alongside 99% DCI-P3 coverage, 10-bit color, and Adaptive-Sync support.

ASUS rates the XG27AQDMG Gen2 at up to 1300 nits peak HDR brightness, the XG27ACDMS at up to 1000 nits peak HDR brightness, and the XG27AQDMES at 400 nits peak brightness. The XG27AQDMG Gen2 also carries a TrueBlack Glossy finish, while the two QD-OLED models are positioned as lower-cost alternatives in the same family.

ASUS says all three displays include OLED Care Pro with a Neo Proximity Sensor designed to dim the panel when the user steps away, which is meant to reduce burn-in risk. Shared features also include factory pre-calibration, DisplayWidget Center, anti-flicker measures, and aspect ratio controls that let users switch to smaller esports-style display modes such as 24.5-inch. ASUS lists a three-year warranty for each model.
From the stack itself, the XG27ACDMS is the fastest model on paper at 280Hz, the XG27AQDMG Gen2 is the brightest and the only WOLED option, and the XG27AQDMES is the lowest-cost entry point at $599. ASUS announced the monitors on March 11, but the press release does not include launch dates beyond the listed US pricing.
