Colorful adds Core Ultra 200S Plus support, launches three Intel 800 series motherboards

Colorful has announced BIOS support for Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus desktop processors across its Intel 800 series motherboard lineup. The update covers existing Z890, B860, and H810 models. At the same time, the company introduced three new boards, the iGame Z890M ULTRA Z, iGame Z890 ULTRA-S W , and BATTLE-AX B860M-PLUS S WIFI7.
The iGame Z890M ULTRA Z is the most distinct of the three. Colorful presents it as a BTF 3.0 design with a back-connect layout, a direct-plug power connector, a new direct-plug GPU power connector, and an integrated front-panel module meant to reduce visible cabling. The board is also listed with a 14+1+1+1 power design.

The iGame Z890 ULTRA-S W is a new white-themed ATX model. Reposted launch materials say it upgrades the cooling armor with a heatpipe and channel structure, adds next-generation quick-release mechanisms for the GPU and M.2 heatsinks, and uses a 20+1+1+1 power design. The same materials disagree on peak DDR5 support, with one repost listing 9200+ MT/s and another listing 9600+ MHz, so that figure should be treated with caution until Colorful publishes a final product page.

The more mainstream option is the BATTLE-AX B860M-PLUS S WIFI7. According to the reposted specifications, it uses a 10+1+1+1 power design, supports up to DDR5-8800 memory overclocking, and includes 5GbE plus Wi-Fi 7. Colorful also adds quick-release hardware for the graphics card and M.2 storage on this model.
The company says current Intel 800 series boards can run the new Core Ultra 200S Plus processors after a BIOS update, which means there is no board swap requirement for the upgrade path. Reposted launch material also says the iGame Z890 ULTRA-S W is scheduled to go on sale in late March.
