TOKYO -- Honda Motor expects to pay as much as 1.7 trillion yen ($10.6 billion) in compensation to suppliers as the automaker abandons development of three electric vehicles as part of an EV strategy reassessment that could cost the company 2.5 trillion yen in loss.
